Suri

Suri in Hebrew means Princess and she most certainly is a princess. Suri is out of the stunning JPN CH Shinka Go Aso Inoue and our very own special male Hamako, and what a fabulous combination this mating has had. Many thanks to Maureen and Peter for handing the reigns over with such a fabulous female to us in partnership.

Suri came out on the show scene with a bang taking 6 out of 7 Best Puppy in Breeds awards where breed classes were on offer, a Best of Breed award under a highly respected top Judge Espen Engh and a Utility Puppy Group short list under another highly respected all-rounder judge Jenny Miller. At the back end of 2017 she took another Best Bitch from the Puppy class with Best Opposite Sex, securing her as Top Japanese Akita Inu 2017. She has made us very proud indeed proving she can cut it with the big girls and boys.

Her beautiful oriental head piece full of feminity along with her intensity makes her very hard to ignore, she, like her father demands your attention when she is in the ring. She has come together well and already from a very young age is a sound mover.

Suri isn’t just a beautiful girl on the outside she is a beautiful girl on the inside, she loves attention in the home, and will push the others out of the way to get that extra cuddle where she can, she is incredibly sweet and so very loving. Where Hamako has an extensive collection of toys, Suri has an extensive collection of Hamako’s destroyed toys, courtesy of her stealing them from him and ripping them up. She also loves her ball, and will chase her ball over the field most days, being a smart girl she even sometimes brings it back! Suri just loves people and other dogs, and enjoys a good social gathering at her local dog training club or just on one of her walks around Blenheim. One of Chris’s claims to fame was one particular visit to Blenheim he was hijacked by two busloads of Japanese tourists, all of which immediately recognised their national treasure and came running over to take photos… we now assume Chris and Suri are very famous on Japanese social media.
